Pregnancy Update

I will be 19 weeks pregnant this friday. Almost five months, which means I'm about halfway there. Fortunately, I'm no longer feeling so incredibly sick all the time. Now I'm just swollen and as Joe will tell you, I'm a little cranky at times.

I finally got Nicole her Halloween costume. Wal-mart didn't have anymore pumpkin costumes that would fit her so I had to get her a unicorn costume instead. She loves it though, so it all turned out ok. She's getting really excited about Halloween and everytime we go to someone's house and they answer the door she yells TRICK OR TREAT. It's kind of cute :)

We found out recently that I'm not the only one in the house who's pregnant. Joe's rabbit, Piggy, is also expecting her first litter of furballs. She's been building a nest for almost a week now. She's also been a total bitch lately. We're just wanting her to get on with it already so she stops growling, stomping, and biting at everybody. Plus, we're super excited to see the new babies!

On a much sadder note, my beloved Chihuahua, Pugsly, bit the big one yesterday. I'll post a picture of him a soon as I find a good one. He lived a long and happy life. He was 11 years old, which is really kind of old for such a small breed of dog. He's currently buried next to our flower bed. May he rest in peace.

Halloween Info for Today:
I got this idea from Halloween Kitchen www.halloweenkitchen.com

BLOODY POPCORN

Add a little red food coloring to the butter you are melting.

To get true red or black colors, buy paste food coloring from a craft or cake decorating supply store.

When the red butter is melted, pour it over the popcorn as usual. Caution: Red paste color may dye skin.

Pop up some corn, air popper, microwave, pan popped.
Melt some butter, whatever kind you prefer, and add some red food color to it.
Pour over popped corn and mix to coat

Halloween

I am so excited because Halloween is coming. Halloween has to be my absolute favorite holiday. I won't be decorating this year, except for the pumpkin carving, because of the fact that we are preparing to move into a new house asap. It just doesn't make sense to me to unpack all the stuff, set it up, and then just have to pack it all back up again with everything else.
We will still be taking Nicole trick-or-treating though. She's got her wee-little heart set on being a pumpkin this year. I probably should have gotten her costume already, but I've just been too busy. I'll get it this coming week sometime.
To celebrate this wonderful holiday online style, I have decided to start adding Halloween items, pictures, and other things to the blog so enjoy.
